A little about your journey to the world of Modeling and Fashion?
I was working as a Fashion Designer in London, where I completed my higher education in Fashion from the London College of Fashion. I decided to switch fields, came to Mumbai and participated in the Gladrags show. Therein the journey began and has been a smooth sail till now . A lot of hard work has gone in ,to survive in this industry where auditions ,castings ,meetings are an everyday scenario , but the hard work has paid off , I have done about 55 TV ads , and the ramp world took a high note after I got selected for the Lakme India Fashion week in 2009.
The difference between ramp and print modeling and which one do you prefer?
A model doesn’t get the liberty of correcting yourself once you are on the ramp , remembering the choreography , wearing cumbersome clothes and shoes can sometimes be nerve wrecking, but its a great high , the lights the music , its elating. Print modeling is fantastic fun too !!!
You have also faced the camera for ad films, what was that experience like?
My experience in the ad world has been superb its a huge responsibility , everyone is waiting for you to perform and deliver.
Going forward is it going to be films or modeling or both?
Films , keeping my fingers crossed!!
