Fukrey – Movie Review

Cast: Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal, Varun Sharma, Richa Chaddha, Vishaka Singh, Priya Anand
Director: Mrighdeep Singh Lamba
Producer: Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani.

Plot: Fukrey’s plot revolves around four guys  Choocha [Varun Sharma], Hunny [Pulkit Samrat], Lali [Manjot Singh] and Zafar [Ali Fazal] who are tired of their mundane and boring life and want to make it large! Choocha gets dreams which Hunny decodes it and makes it into a lucky lotter number.  But their profits are too less to buy their exam question papers and so they turn to Richa Chaddha, a female gangster who invests in their ‘business’. This turn makes them run and turns up the fun!

Performance-check: The four young actors have done a brilliant job especially Pulit and Varun. Varun makes you laugh alot while Ali and Manjot have also been great. Richa Chaddha has done justice to her part and her presence is really strong on the screen.

Technicality: The screenplay is tight and in sync with the plot while the dialogues are amazing and can make you laugh!  ’Fuk Fuk Fukrey’, ‘Jugaad Karle’ and ‘Ambarsariya’, are some really good numbers and the music is definitely a winner. The ending is a bit dragged but all in all, a wonderful film!

Rating: 3/5
